Beginning today I am saying goodbye to the Tall Soy Chai teas that I have been getting at Starbucks during my lunch. Not only are they 285 calories, they are also over $3 per drink. I am back to my good old 60 calorie Unsweetened Passion teas, which are only $1.59 per drink. I do this for both the calories and the money. This cuts the money in half and the calories by more than that. Is it any wonder that I haven’t lost weight? The extra calories are not helping my cause, so they are gone.
I did not do well last week. I gained 3 pounds. Guess that’s what eating out 3x will do to you. I gave in to boneless wings, a breakfast out {which was only done because we had no power} and then a dinner out. I imagine my breakfast of a bacon, cheddar and broccoli omelet helped with those extra pounds.
Good news is I got back on track last night after closely examining my workout plan during the weekend. I actually planned two different weight training programs as the Women’s Health Book I have says that you should ideally do one exercise per muscle group as the first will be the most effective. So this is what I did. I worked out every muscle and felt awesome. I can feel it today in my biceps especially. Cardio is on the plan today after eating out yet again {my goal is a salad}. I haven’t decided on elliptical or Zumba yet, but I’ll see what time I get home. Weights again tomorrow! Goal is 3x this week!
Once you get over that little yearning part of breaking your habit, you’ll look back and wonder what the crap was so great about Tall Soy Chais. Besides, if you’re missing ’em, you can make your own for far cheaper.
Try the Zumba. It’s totally awesome-sauce.
